Terms & conditions

The few things we ask of each owner, so each dog
and cat in our care has a safe, settled stay.

01 Before they arrive

All animals are boarded at the owners' risk.

No animals are accepted without a vaccination card, and all vaccines must be given at least two weeks before boarding.

Please ensure your pet has received appropriate flea and worm treatment. If this is needed during their stay we will provide it - an extra charge applies.

Please provide the microchip number for your pet.

02 Bookings & cancellations

When a booking is made, please give as much notice as possible if you need to amend or cancel. There is usually a waiting list, and we ask that you respect that other people may want the space.

03 Feeding

We use supermarket complete dry dog food and breeders' complete cat biscuits, following the feeding guidance on the packaging. We adjust this for each dog or cat based on their age, size and activity levels. Any other food must be provided by you.

You are welcome to bring your own food in a sealed container, clearly labelled with your pet's name and instructions. Please provide more than is needed, in case you are delayed and unable to collect on time.

If your pet cannot eat any other food, or has any allergies, you will need to supply a letter from your veterinarian.

Please provide an emergency contact who would be able to bring us additional food if necessary.

If we feel your pet is being fed too much or too little, we will consult you and adjust accordingly. If you disagree, you must advise us in writing with your reasons and evidence from your vet if needed. If we still cannot agree, we will not board your pet.

No rawhide is allowed.

04 Longer stays & wellbeing

For stays of 3-4 weeks, we weigh your pet on arrival and every week thereafter, and keep a record you can see at any time. If we have any concerns we will contact you.

We also require an emergency contact of someone who can collect your pet and look after it until your return, if need be.

05 Medication & illness

If your pet requires medication, please label it clearly with instructions and times. We do not give medication outside hours - between 8pm and 8am - and we do not administer any form of injection.

We will give eye and ear drops as long as it does not cause your pet stress. If you feel it would be stressful for them, please arrange other care in your home.

If your pet becomes ill during their stay we will first try to contact you; failing that, we will call and take them to the vet. We reserve the right to take your pet to the vet without your consent for any reason, including weight gain or loss, at your cost.

06 Collection

Please be aware of your travel times and our opening times. In peak season we may not be able to accommodate your pet if you fail to collect on time.

Let us know if someone else will be collecting your pet - we will not release them without your prior consent.

If you do not collect your pet within one week of the collection date and no contact has been made, we will report you and rehome your pet.

07 Bedding & belongings

You're welcome to bring your own bedding if it helps your pet settle, brought at the owner's risk. We'd ask you not to bring your own toys, as we provide everything they'll need during their stay, including toys, bowls and a play area. We recommend you don't bring anything of value, as it may get damaged or lost.

08 Your information

We retain clients' information for our own purposes only and do not share it with anyone.

Thank you.
